An inclusive ride designed for all riders, including beginners and families. About 5 miles at a very casual pace on safe roads.

Blount County Courthouse

Join bicyclists worldwide in a silent slow-paced ride in honor of those who have been injured or killed while bicycling on public roadways. The ride is about 8 miles, covering the downtown Maryville area. Sponsored by the Jeff Roth Cycling Foundation. Arrive at the Blount County Courthouse by 6:30 pm. Helmets are required, front and rear lights are strongly recommended.

Clinics start at 9:30am with road ride following at 10:30 am. We will divide into groups based on speed/skills. Clinics cover: Maintenance, changing flats, proper bicycle fit, Blount County's best bike routes, group riding, staying injury-free, bike law and advocacy, group riding, and more. $30 registration

Smoky Mountain Recumbent Rally

Ride with fellow recumbent riders in and around the beautiful Smoky Mountains. Ride distances vary from 9 to 40 miles. Registration costs vary.

Tour de Blount

Choose one of 4 routes to tour the back roads and rural countryside of Blount County. Distances will be approximately 25, 40, 62 and 72 miles.

Ride for the Wild Side
8:30 a.m.
3500 Knoxville Zoo Drive

Choose from three different routes (50 miles, 30 miles or 10 miles) which travel from the zoo and continue through historic East Knoxville. The after party will commence on zoo grounds right after you end the ride. There will be a private tent with food and beverages. Riders will enjoy food  and two complimentary beers (age permitting). Following the party, you can walk around and enjoy Zoo Knoxville.

Discover a new round-trip route starting at the new greenway at Cherokee Farm (off Alcoa Highway).  This ride will take riders to Volunteer Landing and return to Cherokee Farm. The ride will be led by Bike Walk Knoxville. Registration required.

Join Bike Walk Knoxville and some of your local elected officials on this casual 6-mile bike ride through East Knoxville to Chilhowee Park and back.

Pedal for the Red
7:30 – 9:30 a.m.

The 2017 USA Cycling Pro National Championships will take place in Knoxville, Tennessee June 24-25. The weekend will kick off with Pedal for the Red, followed by the USA Cycling Pro Time Trials. On June 24, participants of Pedal for the Red will have the unique opportunity to ride the same closed course as the pros. 

If you are pre-registered and have gotten your number during early packet pick-up, you can start riding anytime between 7:30 and 8 a.m. No one can start after 8 p.m. for safety reasons (the course has to be completely clear for the official Time Trials.)
